What do the Kristallnacht riots, the Korean War, The Cuban Missile Crisis, Nixon’s resignation, Chernobyl’s meltdown, Clinton’s impeachment, and the major 7.2 magnitude earthquake in Haiti have in common? They all happened under the watchful eye of the tiger as these all occurred in its year. That’s right, the year of the tiger brought us some of the most tumultuous events of the past 100 years and more. Can you guess what year we are about to enter? Thaaaat’s rigggghhhttt, the year of the tiger.
What events will define 2022? We will have to live through it, and succumb to the choices we make as a human race. I for one have decided that I’m going to ride the wave as there is not much else I can do. While I navigate this year and weave my personal path, I’m just gonna document anything I find interesting, share any insights or artwork I produce. When the year of the Rabbit comes along, My special year as it correlates to the year I was born, I’ll look back on this and see where I have gone. I plan on at least one major adventure, Mexico City, one minor, Disneyland, and we will see where else I’ll find myself mentally and physically.
This website for the longest time has been a portfolio of my work, yet I’ve updated maybe 4 times in its 9 years of existence. well, consider this update no. 5. No longer will it be just a portfolio, but more an…editorial I guess, but also kind of like my footprint for when the entire internet is devoured by Facebook, sorry, Meta, at least this microscopic bit of cyberspace will still exist. I’m not doing this for profit, at least not yet. If anything I just wanna keep things documented. It’s a diary, like you’d find in any teenage girl’s room from 1998. that’s all, but since I know a thing or 2 about web design, multimedia, production, artwork and whatnot, why not include all that in this little diary. My last thought you ask? Well, lets just try and get through this year without any major wars, riots, nuclear meltdowns or major earthquakes (I’m ok with resignations and impeachments as long as they are justified and actually have a meaningful impact).
